A high- rank delegation from the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) is heading to Geneva to take part in the ITU 2nd Conference Preparatory Meeting (CPM07-2) of the 2007 World Radio-communication Conference (WRC-07) held in the period from 19 February to 2 March 2007. The main objective of the conference is to formulate a unified vision with regards to the various issues of Radio Communications.
The meeting comes in the heels of the two Arab and African preparatory meetings held earlier in Egypt and Cameron respectively to unite stances on the Arab and African levels for this conference, a coordination that has proven highly effective in similar events.
The conference will discuss contributions of different participants, the special committee and the study groups affiliated to ITU Radio-communication Sector, tackling regulatory, technical, operation and procedural issues addressed by the different Radio communication regional and international conferences.
The NTRA delegation will submit Egyptian proposals to the conference, coordinate efforts with other entities and follow up on the results with the aim of preparing for the World Radio communication Conference (WRC-07) that will be held in October 2007.
