Egypt, represented by the Egyptian Computer Emergency Readiness Team Team (EG-CERT) of the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA), will participate in DEFCAMP Conference which will be held in Bucharest, Romania on 9 and 10 November 2017. This Conference is the largest cyber and information security conference in the Central Europe region and Egypt's participation is part of the efforts exerted to monitor and follow up on cyber attacks through the involvement in the latest scientific developments related to cyber attacks, and consolidation of relations with the relevant international organizations and bodies in this regard.
This is the eighth edition of the conference which is held annually in Romania and is sponsored by several international companies, including Orange / SECUREWORKS / BITDENFENDER / AMAZON / PWC / KPMG. It is should be noted that the Conference aims to raise the awareness about certain issues in the cyber ecosystem in order to provide information security experts with the opportunity to meet and share information to enahance the administrative and technical capabilities and boost improve the international cooperation.
The conference is expected to result in partnerships and consolidation of efforts aiming to encouner cross-border cyber security issues, and formulation of strategic directives to overcome future challenges. The conference will discuss a number of hop topics such as hardware hacing basics, critical infrastructure security and applications of cryptographic techniques.
