Egypt to attend Kigali Summit

As one of the ITU initiatives towards Africa, as an intensively promising ICT market, “Connect Africa” is to be launched at a Summit of Leaders at Kigali, Rwanda 29-30 October 2007. Connect Africa no doubtedly brings the leaders of the African world together pushing Africa towards materializing as another indispensable ICT hub.

H.E. Dr. Tarek Kamel, Minister of Information and Communications Technology together with a high level delegation of Egyptian ICT policy makers, are actively taking part of this crucial event. In addition to being one of the pioneers of the African initiatives, Egypt also proudly sees this summit as a golden chance to promote for hosting ITU Telecom Africa event to be held in May 2008.
