NTRA is collaborating with ITU in hosting two of its very important African Regional Groups and namely Study Group 11 and Study Group 13 Regional Groups for Africa, and their related workshops from 2 – 6 April 2017 at Novotel Cairo Airport Hotel in Cairo.
The fifth ITU Study Group 13 Regional Workshop for Africa on "ITU-T Standardization Work on Future Networks: Towards a Better Future for Africa will be held from 2 to 3 April 2017, and will be followed by the Study Group 13 Regional Group for Africa (SG13RG-AFR) meeting from 4 to 5 April 2017.
Study Group 11 Regional workshop for Africa will be on “Counterfeit ICT Devices, Conformance and Interoperability Testing Challenges in Africa” and will take place on the 5th of April 2017. It will be followed by ITU Study Group 11 Regional Group for Africa.
ITU Study Group 13 discusses issues related to Future networks, with focus on IMT-2020, cloud computing and trusted network infrastructures.
The sessions of the workshop will discuss Standardization Hot Topics including Trusted ICT Infrastructures and Services, IMT-2020, Software Defined Networking (SDN), Cloud Computing, Technology Convergence as well as the Experiences and successful stories in Africa. The importance of standardization for African countries will also be discussed.
Not only do the workshop speakers come from Africa, but the workshop will also witness speakers and moderators from around the world, and several esteemed speakers are joining through remote participation.
