A high-level delegation from the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) has been participating in the World Radiocommunication Conference 2015 (WRC-15) held during the period from 2 to 27 November, 2015 in Geneva - Switzerland.
In fact WRC-15 agenda included 20 items related to the review, modification, and development of the currently-implemented Radio Regulations currently for fixed, mobile and broadcast services in addition to space researches (space-to-Earth), meteorology, and Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and amateur services, Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS). It includes also the study of the new regulatory provisions related to new radio services in order to be added to the Table of Frequency Allocations based on the results that will be reached as a result of the discussion of these items in the conference. Moreover, the agenda of the World Radiocommunication Conference 2019 (WRC-19) will be decided as well.
It is worth mentioning that all the NTRA candidates will be selected to hold positions in the Radiocommunication Sector (ITU-R) as follows:
- Dr. El-Sayed El-Sayed Azzouz : for the Vice-Chairman of Study Group 1 (SG-1).
- Mr. Wael Mohamed Sayed: for the Vice- Chairman of the Study Group 5 (SG5).
- Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud Abdul-Haseeb: for the Vice-Chairman of Study Group 7 (SG7).
