Wi-Fi Technology

WiFi, stands for “Wireless Fidelity”, is a relatively new technology that provides wireless access to the Internet or any other data network with data rates up to 54 Mbps shared between multi-user. The users access the network through a low power (100mWatt) stations that can cover an area of 100 meters radius called a Hot Spot.

These stations spread in vital locations and the population concentration areas(as airports, hotels, conferences ballrooms, clubs, etc.), in which users require connection to data networks via their note books or their PDAs that are provided with WiFi interface card.

The application of this technology is still in the development phase commercially, but with a high rate that exceeds all expectations. Its application differs from a country to another.
