Definition of wireless trunking service (TETRA):


TETRA stands for TErrestrial Trunked RAdio.TETRA is a digital wireless trunking system using mobile radio networks. It is an ETSI standard which ensures optimum utilization of the available spectrum and high efficiency in delivering voice and data through wide area coverage.  This is while achieving high immunity against interferences, in addition to the high secure against listening on the mutative calls.  TETRA systems work in the following spectrum band which is used in Europe in the civilian applications:

385-390 MHZ paired with 395-400 MHZ
410-420 MHZ paired with 320-430 MHZ
