After Qualifying in the Technical Offer: etisalat Further Strengthens Its Position as Region's Telecom Leader after Impressively Winning Egypt’s Third Mobile Network License The consortium led by etisalat won the auction supervised by the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) and Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology to operate Egypt’s third mobile network license. The decision was announced opting for the etisalat consortium’s offer for both 2G and 3G licenses. This decision effectively clears the way for etisalat’s rapid mobile expansion in the region, its provision of enhanced customer services and the transfer of its enabling technologies to the largest market in the region. The success of the consortium further consolidates etisalat’s position as the leading telecommunications operator in the region.
