GMDSS Wireless Operators Certificates

NTRA grants wireless operator certificates and licenses for the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System GMDSS of different degrees as follows:

Certificates:-

a) First class radio electronic certificate.

b) Second class radio electronic certificate.

c) General operator certificate.

d) Radiotelephone operator's restricted certificate.

In order to earn a certificate you must pass the certification exam, the exams are held biannually by NTRA in April and October of every year.

You can apply for the exam if you are registered in one of the certified wireless training institutes.  However you can apply directly for the exam if you have failed in the first time.

To apply for the exam please fill in the application form and submit it directly to the NTRA examination department at Nasr city.
