On 8-9 June, NTRA hosts the Middle-East meeting of the OIC-CERT (The Organization of the Islamic Conference-Computer Emergency Response Team) at Intercontinental Semiramis, Cairo. In addition to Egypt’s membership, the OIC-CERT membership extends to include Bangladesh, Indonesia, Iran, Jordan, Malaysia, Morocco, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, UAE.

OIC-CERT’s mission is “to provide a platform for  member countries to explore and to develop collaborative initiatives and possible partnerships in matters pertaining to cyber security that shall strengthen their self reliant in the cyberspace”.

As Cyber Security continues to push itself as a pressing priority for the whole world, this event comes to reinforce the international cooperation efforts of the Egyptian CERT (EG-CERT).
