A fire broke out this evening in one of the equipment rooms at Ramses Exchange of Telecom Egypt, causing a temporary disruption of telecommunications services.
Civil defense teams, in coordination with Telecom Egypt’s technical teams, are working to control the fire, and necessary measures have been taken to cut off the power supply to the entire exchange. Efforts are underway to gradually restore services over the next few hours, while assessing all affected services and customers.
The National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) confirms that it will take all necessary measures to ensure service restoration and compensation for all affected customers. All relevant authorities are monitoring the situation closely to resolve the issue and minimize its impact.
