As part of the State’s commitment to providing the highest levels of care to the nation’s sons who have made profound sacrifices, and in recognition of the Armed Forces and Police martyrs as well as those injured in military, terrorist, and security operations, Cairo today witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) and the Fund for Honoring Martyrs, Victims, Missing Persons, and Injured of War, Terrorist, and Security Operations and Their Families. The signing coincides with the national celebrations of the glorious October War anniversary.
The protocol aims to enhance cooperation between both parties through the exchange of expertise and joint coordination to ensure the provision of advanced and accessible telecommunications services to the fund’s beneficiaries.
In this context, Eng. Mohamed Shamroukh, Chief Executive Officer of NTRA, stated that this cooperation represents an important step toward strengthening integration among state institutions in caring for the families of those who made immense sacrifices. He affirmed NTRA’s commitment to providing all forms of technological and digital support to serve them.
Eng. Shamroukh added that, as part of NTRA’s role as the regulator and facilitator of the telecommunications sector, the Authority has directed mobile operators to grant a 50% discount to the fund’s beneficiaries. This measure aims to enable the families of martyrs and victims to access high-quality telecommunications services at affordable costs, supporting their inclusion in the digital society and improving their quality of life.
For his part, Major General El-Sayed El-Ghaly, Chairman of the Fund for Honoring Martyrs, Victims, Missing Persons, and Injured of War, Terrorist, and Security Operations and Their Families, expressed his profound appreciation for this fruitful cooperation. He emphasized that the protocol is a practical expression of the political leadership’s directives to honor the martyrs and injured heroes and their families—those who sacrificed the most precious of all for the security and safety of the nation. He also expressed his full confidence that this collaboration with NTRA—one of the key pillars of Egypt’s digital transformation—constitutes a meaningful gesture of gratitude for their sacrifices and a clear message that the State will never hesitate to repay even a small part of what they have given to our beloved country.
The protocol also includes the launch of joint awareness campaigns and workshops between NTRA and the Fund, in line with the State’s vision to strengthen institutional partnership and achieve sustainable development within the framework of Egypt’s Vision 2030.
This cooperation crowns the State’s ongoing efforts to honor those who gave their lives or were injured for the sake of the nation, upholding the values of sacrifice and loyalty, which remain fundamental pillars of Egypt’s development and progress.
