He received his Ph.D. from the University of Strathclyde- Scotland, UK; and took part in many national projects on the telecom sector, such as the introduction of the third mobile operator in the Egyptian market, VSAT licenses, and the Egyptian Frequency Spectrum Allocation Table and Scheme as well as technical-economic studies for the 4G licenses. He plays an important role in the international preparation and coordination of the 1st Egyptian communication Satellite.

He published dozens of research papers in journals and conferences and a book entitled “Automatic recognition of Communication Signals”.

Dr. El-Sayed Azzouz has received many eminent awards, such as the prestigious Mountbatten prize, from the IEE in 1998.
