The Egyptian African Center for Training in Telecommunications Regulation (EG-ATRC), affiliated with the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA), held an online training course titled “Techniques and Methods of Radio Spectrum Monitoring” from April 6 to 10, with the participation of around 28 experts and specialists from various countries around the world.
The training course covered several topics related to radio spectrum, including the fundamentals of spectrum monitoring and analysis, wireless monitoring to ensure optimal spectrum use, identifying causes of interference, and electromagnetic field measurements. It also addressed the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) standards and procedures for spectrum monitoring.
This course represents the first collaboration between the Egyptian African Center for Training in Telecommunications Regulation and the ITU Academy, which enhances the center’s regional standing and strengthens its role in supporting and developing human capacities in the field of telecommunications and information technology. The International Telecommunication Union had previously accredited the Egyptian African Center for Training in Telecommunications Regulation as an official international training center under the ITU Academy.
