EG-CERT’s Experts Train The Tanzanian Emergency Response Teams, Dar es Salaam, April 2019

At the request of the Tanzanian officials, a team of experts from the Egyptian Computer Emergency Readiness Team (EG-CERT) visited the Tanzanian Computer Emergency Response Team (TZ-CERT) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, to train the specialists and cadres to manage the cyber security emergency response teams and operate the relevant systems. It is worth mentioning that EG-CERT’s experts have previously carried out many similar activities in the Nile Basin countries. They also atained significant successes in the establishment and development of the Cybersecurity centers and teams in Uganda for instance. In addition, the experts provided technical assistance required for the establishment of COMESA emergency teams and the training of their teams.

 Training of technical cadres and specialists is consideration a consolidation of the Egyptian presence in African sister countries and in line with the general policies adopted by the Egyptian government, which highlights Egypt’s pioneering role in the region and helps to improve the leading role of the Egyptian experts therein. It also enhances the efficiency of the human resources working in the field of cybersecurity with the aimof achieving the highest degree of coordination with the regional national teams.
